While running your optimization, you may get an error that looks like:
License expired 2024-10-28
or
Restricted license - for non-production use only - expires 2024-10-28
If the error suggests that your license expired around October 28, 2024, and this date does not align with your current or past expiration dates, it's likely that Gurobi is not utilizing your license. Instead, Gurobi may use the size-limited license provided with the gurobipy package distributed via PyPI (i.e., installed using pip).
- In the case of gurobipy version 10, this package's license expired on October 28, 2024.
- In the case of gurobipy version 9, this package's license expired on October 25, 2023.
Gurobi is using this license because it is not able to find your intended license.
To resolve,
- Please ensure that you have installed your license. For more details, see How do I retrieve and set up a Gurobi license?
- Please ensure that your license is in a location that Gurobi can find. Gurobi checks a few default locations for the license file, which differ by operating system. The default locations are listed in our article Where do I place the Gurobi license file (gurobi.lic)?
