Timeline and process of a new Gurobi release

The "Release Date"

Each new version of Gurobi Optimizer and Gurobi Remote Services has an official release date.  This date marks the time at which the new version is available through all the platforms that Gurobi is published to:

• Instant Cloud
• PyPI
• Anaconda
• Maven
• Nuget
• Gurobi.com (download section)

The timeline of our processes means that Gurobi packages will be available on these platforms in the days prior to the official release date.  The publishing order is as listed above.

What to watch out for!

If you obtain a Gurobi package prior to the release date then you may experience issues if you are running operating within a "Gurobi ecosystem".

An example:
You may have scripts which are automatically run, which keep your version of Gurobi up to date on your local machine, but also Gurobi Remote Services up to date on a network machine.  If the script installs the local version of Gurobi using PyPI and Gurobi Remote Services is being installed from our our website then you may have different versions at some point during the release process.
