Docker container Localhost license

Hi,

is there a way of using gurobi library in a container employing localhost licence?

I am currently using the WLS but I need to solve small optimization problems at a very fast rate. I fear that retrieving the licence online slows down the process a lot.

  Hi Francesca,

  Gurobi cannot be set up to run in a container without either using a WLS license or a floating license server. In both cases, you need to contact a different machine with some nonzero overhead. Rest assured that very little data is transferred and the WLS license is very responsive.

  Could you please reach out again if WLS is indeed not fast enough?

  You can also reuse the established environment and solve multiple optimization models without creating a new env (and acquiring a new license token) every time.
