How can I cite the original resource of the modeling tricks of the general constraints?

Dear Friends,

I see that Gurobi has many general constraints like ABS, MAX, Piecewise-linear constraints... which are using tricks to model them in a linear way. I am using some of them and I want to cite the original resource that first describes such tricks (especially Piecewise-linear constraints and piecewise-linear objective function). Could you tell me where can I find such resources (books or papers)? Thanks a lot!

  Hi Shengzhi,

  Finding an "original resource" could be difficult.  I'd expect many of these results would be considered self-evident and not publishable.   But check out the video Advanced Modeling where our colleague Matthias describes modelling several general constraints from scratch.
