Gurobi 13.0.0 PDHG : Not a GPU build - running on CPU instead

I’m trying to run a MIP on AWS on an NVIDIA A100 GPU. I installed the Linux GPU build and, in my Julia script, I set Method = 6 and PDHGGPU = 1.
The optimization completes successfully, but the log reports: “Not a GPU build – running on CPU instead,” and it appears to run entirely on the CPU.
In the Gurobi documentation for supported GPU platforms, it states that the NVIDIA driver version should be < 580. On this instance, nvidia-smi shows driver version 580.95.05.
Could the driver version be the reason Gurobi is not enabling the GPU build? If so, is downgrading the driver to a supported version (e.g., 565/570/550, depending on availability) the recommended fix?

Hi Zejun,
If the GPU build cannot find a GPU that it can use then it will give a warning to this effect.
The error you're seeing indicates that the Gurobi version you're running is not a GPU build. It could be that Julia is downloading it's own version of Gurobi, and not using the one you have downloaded.
Can you please review this section of the Gurobi.jl readme and see if it helps resolve the issue?

Thank you for the response.
After updating the setup, Gurobi now correctly detects the A100 GPU and attempts to run PDHG on the GPU. However, I’m now encountering a new issue related to the CUDA/NVIDIA driver compatibility, and the solve falls back to CPU.

Ok I see the issue. Gurobi 13.0.0 supports CUDA versions 8 - 12 and drivers < 580. See Supported GPUs Platforms.
At some point we will add support for CUDA 13, but I don't currently have a timeline for this.
