Licensing
The Gurobi 14.0.0 beta requires a license file.
Current Gurobi Customers (Commercial and Academic)
- If you have a WLS license ("Web License Service (WLS)" in your Gurobi User Portal license page at https://portal.gurobi.com/iam/licenses/list, or WLSACCESSID and WLSSECRET parameters in your gurobi.lic file), you don't need to do anything else: the Gurobi 14.0 beta will work with that license.
- Licenses of types other than WLS are specific to a particular Gurobi version, and will not work with the Gurobi 14.0 beta unless they have VERSION=14.
- If you are a commercial customer and have any active license, you can generate a temporary WLS license for the beta at https://portal.gurobi.com/iam/licenses/request (you should see an additional tile labeled "beta").
- If you are an academic user, you can either use your existing WLS licenses or generate a new academic WLS at https://portal.gurobi.com/iam/licenses/request.
- If you require a different license type for testing the beta, please contact our licensing team at license@gurobi.com.
Not a current customer?
- If you don't have a valid license, you can request an evaluation license at https://www.gurobi.com/utility/free-trial/eval-license.
Downloads
Full Packages
You can download the Gurobi Optimizer and the Gurobi Remote Services packages for Windows, Linux, ARM Linux, and Mac from our Download Center at https://www.gurobi.com/product/download-center/optimizer-software#beta. Each of these packages contain all the executables, the APIs for all supported languages, and the connectors to all third-party software for one particular platform.
For Windows and Mac users, you can simply double-click on the installer once you have downloaded it. It will guide you through the installation process.
For Linux users, you will first need to choose an install location (we recommend /opt for a shared installation). You can then copy the Gurobi distribution to that location and run tar xvfz gurobi14.0.0beta_linux64.tar.gz (or similar) to extract the Gurobi files.
GPU builds
You can also find at https://www.gurobi.com/product/download-center/optimizer-software#beta the full packages and Python wheels for the GPU-enabled builds of Gurobi Optimizer.
Python
For Python users, please download and install the beta package directly from PyPI. To do so, please use the command python -m pip install gurobipy==14.0.0b1 from a command line shell.
These wheels don't include the GPU-enabled version of Gurobi Optimizer. See above for GPU-enabled Python wheels.
.NET
Instead of downloading the Gurobi Optimizer packages, .NET users can download and install the beta package directly from NuGet. To do so, please use the command dotnet add package Gurobi.Optimizer --version 14.0.0-beta1 from a command line shell.
Java
You can download the Gurobi Optimizer Java package from Maven Central by using the version tag 14.0.0-beta-1. Refer to this KB article for details on how to do so.
Images on Docker Hub
If you would like to test Gurobi 14.0.0 beta with our pre-configured images, please see the Gurobi Docker Hub organization at https://hub.docker.com/u/gurobi and use the tag 14.0.0beta1.
