I am facing Issues with Convergence in Mixed-Integer Programming Model Using Gurobi
Awaiting user inputHi everyone,
I am working on a mixed integer programming model using Gurobi & I am facing some challenges with convergence; The model I am building is relatively large, with thousands of variables and constraints. While the solver is able to start the optimization process, it seems to get stuck after a certain number of iterations & the objective value stops improving.
Also I have tried adjusting various parameters, such as the MIPGap & the time limit, but these changes have not significantly impacted the results. I am wondering if there are specific strategies or parameter adjustments that could help improve convergence for large-scale MIP models in Gurobi. if there are common pitfalls that I might be overlooking,
Also i have read this resorse/artical; https://support.gurobi.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/25093181218321-Mixed-Integer-Quadratic-Programming-cpq-interview-quesMIQP-model-does-not-converge? witch help me a lot. if you have any advice, resources or examples, I would be grateful for the guidance.
Thank you….

Hi Jack,
We provide some general advice in the section about Most important parameters. However, these are quite generic.
Could you please share the log output for an optimization run or in best case also share the model? Note that uploading files in the Community Forum is not possible but we discuss an alternative in Posting to the Community Forum.
Best regards,
