I have formulated a mixed-integer linear model with the number of variables shown in the figure. After running the optimization overnight, I observed that the gap is consistently at 55% for an extended period, with no significant improvement in convergence. I am seeking advice on how to address this issue and achieve better convergence results.

  Hi,

  There are some parameters you may want to try:

  • MIPFocus = 1, 2, or 3.
  • Cuts = 2,
  • Method = 1

  You may also want to revise your formulation and strengthen it.
