The new Gurobot is the chatbot interface to our Gurobi Intelligence framework and integrated within the User Portal. It delivers instant, expert-level assistance for its users and marks our first step in making optimization more accessible, interactive, and intelligent through Generative AI.
Gurobot’s new home
We moved Gurobot to our User Portal to allow tight integration with our systems, for access to the licensing information, and for seamless model validation and optimization execution. By this approach we can also make Gurobot more knowledgeable and ensure high quality responses through a stable environment.
We initially drove Generative AI innovation with three custom GPTs, one of them being the custom GPT version of Gurobot. This version will no longer be updated but remains available for the moment. Longer term, all Generative AI efforts will be bundled into our agent based Gurobi Intelligence framework.
Functionality of Gurobot
Gurobot is configured to respond to optimization related questions in general. While it is built to supersede our initial custom GPTs and extend their scope in the future, the initial release in the User Portal is targeted at expert advice and integration:

Accessing Gurobot
After registering with and logging into the Gurobi User Portal, you will be able to navigate to Gurobot via the Gurobot icon on the bottom left of the screen. |
After accepting the Terms of Service, you will be presented with a chatbot interface.
Gurobot provides insights into how it reasons and gathers knowledge. Before you see the response to your question, you can participate in its “thought process”.
Interacting with Gurobot
The chatbot interface allows you to interact with Gurobot using your preferred language. When responding, Gurobot gives some insight into its reasoning before printing the actual response.

We encourage users to provide feedback using the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons. | |
In case your response was not satisfactory, please always provide a reason why. | |
And you might want to open a support request. If you are a commercial user, you can do this directly in Gurobot. For your convenience, the support request will be populated with a summary of your chat. Once you have submitted the request, you can find it at My Requests. |
For better organization, Gurobot arranges chats in sessions, whereas only the latest session is active.
Chats can be created and deleted:
