Gurobi server installation
AnsweredGood Morning
I'm in the process of installing server in a self managed cluster. I have software installed and the Gurobi service started. In the verification section on Page 35, I'm at the Log In without a Cluster Manager step.
When I attempt to log on from the server I get this warning.
F:\gurobi_server1100\win64\bin>grbcluster login --server=http://localhost:61000
info : Using client license file 'f:\gurobi\gurobi.lic'
warn :
warn : *** Current license file type is NODE and will be overwritten. ***
warn :
warn : We recommend setting the GRB_LICENSE_FILE environment variable to an
warn : alternate location. If you are running an application or a Compute Server
warn : on the same machine, do not overwrite this license file.
Do you still want to proceed? [y/n]
How do I proceed from here. I don't want to modify the existing node license file
Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,
It's a good thing that you didn't overwrite the license!
Before rerunning the command, you can set the system environment variable \(\texttt{set GRB_LICENSE_FILE=client.lic}\).
This will create a file with that name in the current directory with the connection information without overwriting your main license file and allow you to test the server. If you are a customer, feel free to open a support ticket for faster responses (maybe not in this case, but in general).
Cheers,
