Use of academic license on cloud services
AnsweredHi
I am currently using a gurobi academic license for my doctoral research.
Recently we are facing serious infrastructure issues in my lab and I have been thinking about renting cloud services for my computacional experiments.
One way to save a lot of money on the cloud service is by backing up your entire system and software and shutting down when it goes idle. However, when changing my machine hd once, I verified that the license checks the physical ip of the machine and with the exchange I needed to install a new license.
I am concerned that having to reinstall the license every time I start a new instance of the server will set up improper use of the license and I lose it.
Is this kind of use possible with an academic license? If so, but differently, how do I do it?
