IndexError solved by reordering constraints

I came across an interesting behavior of Gurobi.

After writing down a series of constraints, I received "IndexError: invalid index to scalar variable." I was able to fix this error just by reordering the constraints (by moving some constraints up in the code). How do you explain this behavior? Thank you.

  It's hard to say without seeing your code. Can you please post a minimal working example of code that reproduces this error, as well as the modified code that resolves the error?

  Thanks for the reply. The original problem is pretty big. Let me try to generate a smaller example code in the next few days to reproduce the error and post it.
