Host-ID mismatch
OngoingHi,
I am using Gurobi (on Linux) with an academic license. It is all working out, but as soon as I have to change my Wi-Fi connection I get the feedback: host-id mismatch. As I am partly working from home and partly remote, I cannot avoid changing the connection.
Unfortunately, it does not work to activate a new license over the VPN, so I cannot just get a new license every time.
Does anyone know the problem and was able to resolve it?
Thank you and greetings,
Laura

Hi Laura,
This is interesting!
Are you using a laptop? If so, are you using a docking station?
Cheers,

Yes, I am working on a laptop, but without a docking station.
Do you have any idea what might be the cause?
Thank you and greetings,
Laura

Turning this into an internal ticket to better track this request.

The primary adapter and HostID may be changing when attaching and detaching from some docking stations. See What system changes can invalidate a license file? You can get a second academic license (or WLS) in this case.
