Gurobi can't read my username

I have an academic license, but when i want to run a model, i get the following error:

gurobipy.GurobiError: User name mismatch (licensed to 'selindemirturk', current user is ' ')

When running whoami, the response is:

selindemirturk

How can this be solved?

  Hi Selin,

  This is likely a problem with your LOCALE settings. Maybe you can fix the issue by trying export LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8" before running the grbgetkey command (but this really depends on your computer, so I am not sure if it will fix it). You might find this post relevant.
