Is there a way to manually set an objective upper bound for a minimization MIP model?

  Have you had a look at the Cutoff parameter? I think it should work for you.

  And how should I set it? It is not one of the model attributes where I can just do model.setAttr

  This is because it is a parameter, not an attribute.

  The various Gurobi APIs all provide routines for querying and modifying parameter values. Please refer to our Parameter Examples for additional information.
