With the release of Gurobi Optimizer v12, there was a significant change in how AMPL integrates with Gurobi. Historically, Gurobi provided a separate solver package for AMPL users, which would need to be installed and configured independently.
Starting with Gurobi v12, we have stopped distributing the AMPL connector, and AMPL now handles the integration with Gurobi.
Users can download the Gurobi-AMPL connector or the Gurobi Solver for AMPL for Gurobi v12 (and subsequent versions when they come) from AMPL at https://portal.ampl.com/dl/gurobi/.
