How do I request a license for an older version of Gurobi?

Gurobi licenses are backwards compatible, meaning you can use them to run versions of Gurobi older than the licensed version.

Regardless of which Gurobi version is being used, Gurobi needs to know where to find the license file. Gurobi looks for a license file in a default directory:

• C:\gurobi\ on Windows
• /Library/gurobi/ on macOS
• /opt/gurobi/ on Linux

Alternatively, you can set the GRB_LICENSE_FILE system environment variable to the full path of the Gurobi license file.
