Use Gurobi outside eduroam
AnsweredHello, there! I am a PhD candidate who has requested a free academic license from Gurobi. I have managed to activate a license in my personal computer while being connected to the university network. Then, if I am connected to this network, all works as expected.
However, when I am connected to other private network, I am receiving this error (the X and the Y denote host ids):
gurobipy.GurobiError: HostID mismatch (licensed to XXXXXXX, hostid is YYYYYYY)
Is there a way to use Gurobi with the license I received on the same computer where I activated it but from a private internet network (not from the university)?
Significant details:
- Operating system: Linux Mint 20.
- Run Gurobi under Python 3.9.
- Gurobi version: 9.5.2.
Thank you very much for your time. I am looking from hearing from you.

Hi Manuel,
I have created a help request from this. We can discuss licensing options for you in that request.
