What are some useful Python tools?

A great productivity feature of the whole Python ecosystem is the availability and accessibility of tools such as interactive notebooks and integrated development environments. Two such tools are:

• the Spyder IDE.

Of course the latter is not your only IDE choice. Other popular alternatives include Eric, Pyzo, PyCharm, and PyDev.
