Are you ready to set up a Burrito Game competition between your friends, students, and/or colleagues? This guide will walk you through how to create a new competition and join an existing one in Championship Mode. For more about how to incorporate this into a Lunch and Learn or the classroom, see the Teaching Guide.
How to create a New Competition
-
Access the Championship Mode:
Visit Burrito Optimization Game and click and select “Championship Mode.” If prompted, sign in to or register for a Gurobi Account by following the on-screen instructions.
-
Create a Match Code:
Decide on a unique match code that is fewer than 20 characters, using a combination of letters and numbers. Select "Join match" to enter the game.
Please note that- Match codes are case-sensitive.
- We recommend testing to make sure this match code is not already in use by by testing a data download with your match code as shown in Step 4: Download and Review Results.
-
Distribute the Match Code and instructions:
Share the match code with your class and the instructions on "How to Join a Match" below. They will need this code to join the competition. Encourage students to save their scores at the end of their gameplay to ensure their results are recorded.
-
Download and Review Results:
As the instructor, initiate a game session using the match code you created. During or after the game, you can download the results by clicking on the Championship button and entering the match code. This will provide you with the scores, student aliases, and timestamps.
